Abstract:This paper proposes a high-efficiency concurrent dual-band power amplifier (PA) design method based on
a low-pass filtering matching network. By combining continuous class-F (CCF) and continuous class-F-1(CCF-1 ) modes,
the impedance design space is expanded under the premise of ensuring efficiency. Multiple transmission zero points are introduced
in the harmonic range to complete the design of the low-pass response matching network and perform harmonic suppression.
In order to verify the correctness of design method, a concurrent high-efficiency PA working at 1. 6 GHz and 2. 4 GHz
with a bandwidth of more than 200 MHz is designed, which has a power added efficiency (PAE) of more than 66% and an
output power of more than 40 dBm. The Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio (ACLR) is better than -25 dBc. |
